Summary for colleges
In October 2025, ASTI ran a 5-day .NET Full Stack workshop for students of Vemana Institute of Technology (Vemana IT), Bengaluru. During the workshop week, students took a written test and a personal interview. Ten students were selected on merit for free .NET Full Stack training from 20 November 2025 to 20 February 2026. In April 2026, after a placement drive, 3 of the 10 were placed as .NET developers at Optirise with a 3.5 LPA package.
This page sets out how the program was structured, what students learned, how they were selected and what happened afterwards, so that placement officers and heads of department can judge whether a similar program would suit their students.
Why Vemana IT and ASTI ran a .NET program
Many engineering students understand programming theory but have never built a complete application. Companies that hire .NET developers look for strong C# fundamentals, SQL Server knowledge, ASP.NET MVC and Web API skills, and projects the candidate can explain in an interview.
The program had two goals: to show a large group of students how a real .NET application fits together, and to find the students who were serious about a software career so they could be trained in depth.
How the program worked
- Workshop on campus (from 6 October 2025). Five days introducing the .NET full stack, open to Vemana IT students.
- Written test and personal interview (9 October 2025). Held at the college and conducted by the workshop trainer.
- Selection (10 October 2025). Ten students were chosen on merit for free training.
- In-depth training (20 November 2025 to 20 February 2026). Three months of .NET Full Stack training with real-time projects and interview preparation.
- Placement drive and interviews (April 2026). Three students received offers as .NET developers at Optirise.

What the 5-day workshop covered
The workshop showed how a C# and ASP.NET backend, a SQL Server database and a web frontend work together. It followed the same order as ASTI's .NET Full Stack Developer course:
- C# and the .NET platform: Visual Studio, syntax and object-oriented programming basics
- SQL Server: tables, joins and queries
- ASP.NET MVC: controllers, views, routing and validation
- ASP.NET Web API: building REST services with CRUD operations
- Frontend integration: how an Angular frontend consumes APIs
- Mini-project and Q&A: applying the concepts end to end
How the 10 students were selected
Selection was based on merit. On 9 October 2025, workshop participants took a written test at the college, followed by a personal interview. The trainer who led the workshop also conducted the test and the interviews. On 10 October 2025, ten students were selected for free training. The aim was to give the opportunity to the students who had shown the most commitment and aptitude during the workshop.
The 3-month .NET Full Stack training
From 20 November 2025 to 20 February 2026, the selected students were trained free of charge. The training covered:
- C#, object-oriented programming, collections and generics
- SQL Server and ADO.NET
- ASP.NET MVC and Web API
- TypeScript and Angular
- Real-time projects, such as a student management system and an e-commerce application
- Resume building, mock interviews and interview preparation
Results: 3 students placed at Optirise
In April 2026, after a placement drive and interviews, 3 of the 10 trained students were placed as .NET developers at Optirise with a 3.5 LPA package.
Offers depend on each candidate's skills and interview performance, and hiring decisions are made by the employer. ASTI provides placement support; it does not guarantee a job. These three students earned their offers through steady practice and project work.
Who led the program
His sessions focus on real-time project scenarios and interview-style questions rather than slides alone.

Running a similar program at your college
The Vemana IT model works well for colleges that want a measurable outcome rather than a one-off lecture:
- A short workshop gives a large group of students a practical introduction to one technology stack.
- A written test and interview identify the students who are ready for in-depth training.
- A longer training phase with projects and mock interviews prepares them for hiring rounds.
The same structure can be used for other ASTI tracks, such as Java Full Stack, Python Full Stack or Data Analytics. Dates, batch size and the selection process are agreed with each college. See all campus programs or talk to us on 080-4219 1321.
